So, after a year of little or no riding, I lost my license due to a dui. Being without any mode of transportation besides my 20 inches, I decided it was as good a time as any to get back into riding. Problem is, last year, my "friend" stole and sold my bike before being put in prison for 4 years for burglary. With 600 dollars down the drain, and a broken heart, you could say I was a little upset. Lately I've been hanging out with some different people who ride, and it really makes me want to ride again. The shitty part is that I cannot afford a bike or figure out what happened to my stolen one. If I knew who had it I would have it back by now, and I'm beating that kid's fucking head into the concrete when he gets out of jail. But none of this really helps me. I've been going through a shitty phase of life, and I just wish I could have the thing back that's made me the happiest. I don't know what the point of this post is. I haven't even been on here in years, and it looks like the forums are pretty much lifeless. I just thought I'd drop by and leave a little piece of my mind. Big-ups to everyone from the old days who still rides and visits this site.

Peace.

That sucks man, sorry to hear that.

It wouldn't be my first choice but maybe you could go buy a K-Mart bike somewhere, and just replace parts with decent parts as they break. Seemed to work for me to get my first bike rocking.

For a dude that weighs in excess of 200 lbs, I'm thinking that a K-mart bike probably won't suffice. I actually have been checking ebay and whatnot in hopes that I might find a used gem for the cheap. I'm thinking something might pop up, and if it does I'll be sure to take advantage of it. Thanks for the response and the optimism.

that really sucks about your bike dude.....

yes most certainly go the ebay route..... theres a lot of garbage parts on the market now.... you can't trust brand name too much anymore.... youd be surprised though..... some of the kmart bikes aren't all that bad for flat..... shit, kmarts the only place I've seen 2" diameter pegs in the past 3 years!

if you don't recognize a part from when you rode way back when, don't buy it..... you should be able to pick somethin up for cheap..... unless people are really hoarding the old stuff cause the new stuff sucked up all their loot....

I'll support dans comp till bmx companies start selling direct to their customers...
