so really people... isn't this the shit I said was going to happen? and people said I was just makin shit up....

game developers are gettin the shaft from console makers with liscensing fees, customer base limitations from number of consoles sold, extra time costs of developing for multiple consoles, and programming interfaces... the only universal platform is the web.... if you make game portals designed to run in a web browser, doing all the rendering server side, you can pretty much play on anything with an internet connection....

onlive is launching in june, a few other companies are congering up competative services.... it's gonna be a hard market for consoles with that technology available and in wide spread use....

plus with cisco's new crs3 rolling out to isp's over the next few years, broadband all over is going to get a nice boost to make the onlive experience a little better...

bottom line.... it really doesn't make sense for sony, microsoft, or nintendo to come out with another console with this crap on the horizon.... maybe nintendo with a wii 2, but I think nintendo's the only company that wouldn't lose their ass on new hardware cause they wouldn't over do it....
