Why are some of us so full of shit? lol there seems to be 4 kinds of bikers that you meet at skate parks.

1. the really good ones that can pull of the big tricks but like to talk shit about everyone, fruit booters, wood pushers and even other bikers. they tend to make fun of riders who arent brake less and push you to do tricks they know are above your riding level and will probably result in injury. they are normally accompanied by the third kind of rider. they also tend to attempted to talk shit to your friends about your riding ability while your in a run and lie about life expeiriances...

2. the pretty good bikers who can do alot of mid level tricks that tend to be helpful, offering tech support and suggestions to help the third kind of rider pull off a trick safely, advice to fix your bike or just want to have a good time at the park. they tend to have well kept bikes and usually come with 1 or 2 close friends. these are typically older riders or just riders that have been riding for years.

3. the honest to goodness pansies, who want to ride and do the big tricks but dont ever push them selves to learn anything. they are normally accompanied by the first kind of rider, and constantly blame their gear for putting their foot down on fly outs or bailing or just not commiting to a simple trick. they typically case every jump and place all of the blame on their bike instead of on their lack of commitment.

4. the posers, the ones noone likes. these are the guys that normally ride walmart bikes, they show up at the free skate parks and most of the time never say a word. they dont know any of the lingo, cant do any tricks and cant change a flat tire. they ride everywhere sitting down with their bars pushed as far forwards at they can get them. they tend to stay in the way in front of ramps, on ramps (the ones they can roll up while sitting down) and in the valleys of half pipes. they tend to watch the other bikers point and laugh if anyone falls and dont give props when someone lands a good clean trick. call them out on anything, being in the way, being stupid, being lame, being a poser and they will start a fight.

there are exeptions to these profiles but as a general rule this is what you get. And all of the profiles but the second one are full of shit lol.

example: I was at irvings Lively Point skate park thursday. and there was a rider there that fit profile one. he lied about nearly everything. he tried to get us to believe he had peirced his ear with a 22...... had taught morgan wade a trick or two(this rider was like 18 a poor local drop out and couldnt even pull a clean 360, more than have of the time planting a foot on the landing of everyone....) kept calling people pussies for having brakes, wanted us to believe he had been hit in the head with a baseball while riding at the park which is across the street from the ball park and that he beat the base ball players ass for it. the stories go on.....

im sure you guys dont need examples of the other two, 3 and 4.

but honestly why are someone us so full of shit?

I'd say there's a lot less 1s here in CO than there were in PA. There's a lot of 2s (I'm one of them I think), plenty of 3s, but surprisignly not too many 4s.

Still I'd say you got it nailed for the most part. Either you're a prick, a wuss, a poser, or you're a real bike rider.

To the 1s I say: Mind your own business. Ride your bike and have fun, don't worry about anybody else. You're not cool, you're doing tricks on a little kids' bike. So get over yourself and lighten up.

To the 3s: You're on a bike, you're going to get hurt, so put on some pads and try some shit. You just might land it.

To the 4s: In this case, "Fake it till you make it" would be valuable advice. Don't do anything you don't see someone else doing and don't sit anywhere you don't see someone else sitting. This should keep you from getting hit, or beaten up.

And to the 2s: Keep on riding.

Nice post! :)

g-man that's cool i respect that but there is alot of comradery that comes with a good group of friends and bmx. best example would be stephen murry. seeing great friends turned great competitors that are showing nothing but support. plus its always nice to have someone there to call 911 LOL!

and to be honest im riding that 2 and 3 line lol. kinda right there in the middle. anyone know where i can get some 2xl shin guards? (i have  primo tenderizer pedals and tend to run them into my shins.....)

I just get defensive, because Im a #3 pussy. I stopped riding street  because I bailed hard on a fakie wall ride and had to miss work without pay, and I have kids to feed and a mortgage that doesnt understand that there no money in the account.

But I read about what Tranq. is going through with rehab and that shit from riding flat and gettin fubar'ed and man I think this sport is awesome but haaaaarrrd on the body

If DansComp dont have them I dont know

NICE STA BTW ( i felt it should be yelled)

wow someone that knows what an sta is lol. most people now have no clue about standard bikes. im rebuilding my bike after i get new tires on my car next week. Im ordering a custom 2009 STA!!! and in keeping with the Stronger Than All theme, all the parts are chosen for strength rather than weight.

rims: Ody midway 48h

spokes: 12g

front hub:ody hazard 48h 14 mm axle

rear hub: i made an exeption here, i want a free coaster.... but it will still have a 14mm axle and 48h

tire liners in front and rear, super thick inner tubes, Ody elm street tires front and rear (120psi).

fsa impact integrated headset, kink og pegs, only two. dual Primo chain adj. KMC K710 chain.

standard is coming out with new bash forks and bars again in a few months which will also be on the bike.

the bike total will be approximately 31 lbs. which is about 14 lbs lighter than my current sta....... lol

and dont worry man i walk the #2 #3 line cause im a security guard and my job is kinda physical so if i fucker myself up riding the pay check gets fuckered too.

Hey man, I hold Rick Moliterno in the highest regard. To me he is the man,, I bought a trls 250 because of him ,,I wanted a STA, but it was 30 or 40 $ more.

I honestly believe there are only a few companies worth buying frames from and Standard is # 1. I was tryin to find a used TAO to ride flat on, but they're hard to find.

The Standard head tube junction is by far the strongest in the business.

hahaha, I like this thread Digitalnico. great conversation starter.

But yeah I'm like a #3 rider and I place the blame on the fact my bike gets stolen after I start to get decent at riding. Then I have to save up some cash to ride. lol. I'll shoot whoever steals my 5th and current bike. lol

no B.S. lol. well my first 2 bikes didnt get stolen. I broke my first bike and I gave my 2nd one away when I got my 3rd. 3rd bike got stolen. I bought another one, it went through a few changes until I swapped the frame out and eveything. then that bike got stolen and I still had that extra frame laying around so I got a cheap haro and swapped the parts on the extra frame I had. It was a fedreal division. Then I ditched that bike for my current ride. So like I said. I'll shoot a bitch
